It was only an ethical violation and not an actionable offense, that stimulates so much confidence in my government, and who authored the report, General Thomas F. Gimble, maybe it's a conflict of interest to have the pentegon investigate itself? and we all know what happens to generals if they disagree with the president

This is unbelieveable! Distorting & manipulating intelligence to go to war is called inappropriate" but not illegal. How about treasonous? Any one getting tired of that "just following orders" excuse yet? Can we really believe US intelligence can make such huge "mistakes"?

There are many times when generals disagree with the president, but they let them know through the proper channels, or chain of command, unless they get to set up a meeting with the president.

I don't think we have a conflict of interest, and I believe that because the CIA and FBI were sending conflicting reports, several assumptions were made. People at the Pentagon should ASSume nothing, and that's where they make a mistake. Until they have solid evidence from all sources, then and only then should they move forward. However, it is to our advantage to understand and learn how the system works. We only know about 1/16 of the actual truth and that's about what the media gives people...and that's with their slant on things in either direction.

I did read that article earlier today and it was like a slap in the face.
