I would guess that most of them are too smart for that. I pity those that signed up to defend America, and wound up in Iraq instead.

Sorry could not stop laughing on this .....defending from whome??
I also feel pitty for those who think they have singed up for defending America.....! How come they think of it ? even a layman can tell that America doesn't need any defence..The only threat to America is their own president !

Good one !

Well lets see... I live on a military base of over 20000 soldiers, most who are in infantry that have been to Iraq twice. In all of these soldiers, I have heard of maybe 2, who disagree with what they are doing, and don't fully believe they are doing the best interest of America. A lot people ignorantly believe a soldier cannot resist something openly and that is why they "keep their mouths shut". However, the soldiers do not live the overly dominated life that civilians believe. The are more than welcome to say what they have to say, as long as it isn't in a disprespecting manor to their superiors or country. They have all the rights as you do, except the right to be ignorant. The are trained to think like adults, not uneducated fools.
So to answer your question on my base alone, approx. 1/10,000 soldiers believe this is wrong.

After last summer when the Army announced they are lowering the intelligence standard for enlistment. The percentage rate has gone up.

I'm OK with low IQ Army there are many jobs that can be performed by a special olympics style army. And it frees up the high IQ guys from peeling potatoes.

To say "they're to smart for that" is to suggest you are dumb in believeing so, which is a childish belief. It's simply a disagreement of opinions. No side is dumber than the other.

I'd say most troops believe what they are doing there is right (probably about 70%-75%)

I have to agree with you one this one, I do think many signed up to help or defend the US is some way, but they are now being misused by the politicians for political gain, what they are being used for is not helping to defend the USA.

Most military sign up to serve American interests. You wouldn't know what that is, and you are not worth my time to explain it.

They are following the orders of the President, which is what they are sworn to do. Nowhere in the enlistment contract does it say that they have to believe what the moron says----they just have to follow his orders or go to jail.
