This question has no significance it is just for fun. I would like to know exactly how many mom's knew before they took a test that they were pregnant, and how did you know. While some of you may have had no idea until you took a pregnancy test. Feel free to share your stories.

I knew before I took the test, I worked in a cafeteria and we had "spaghetti day" every Thursday and one Thursday when we were making the sauce I couldn't stand the smell of it, everytime someone ordered it and came through to my register I thought I was going to puke, and thats when I knew I was definitly pregnant! I called the Dr. to take a blood test, but couldn't wait for my appointment so I took an at home test and it was positive! My son is now 8 months old, and the most beautiful thing in the world!

I'm not positive that I'm pregnant but it seems like it. I started feeling slightly dizzy yesterday. I think it was heartburn or something that started a couple of days ago. A few days ago, I had a slight increase in appeptite and felt tired. A few days ago, I had to what seems like implanation bleeding cause I had very tiny spots of blood but not enough to show up on my underwear. And a few days ago, I've felt some sensations in my breasts, a couple of sharp pains but they weren't that bad. They aren't sore, but they hurt just a tiny bit briefly. And I've had a few headaches this week but they weren't bad and didn't last long at all. And I've had a few cramps all week long. And if I am actually pregnant, I should be no longer than 2 weeks. I haven't missed a period yet but I'm like within about 4 days when I'm supposed to get it. So I'm thinking about taking a pregnancy test tomorrow morning. But what concerns me is taking it and it comes out negative cause if I am pregnant, there may not be enough hcg to come out positive. So I don't know. But I think I have a good chance of me being pregnant considering I know I was ovulating at the time of the week that I was doing it. And most women ovualate on day 14 but I know that I ovulate a few days before that like day 11 or day 12 usually. But it sure seems like I'm pregnant but I still don't want to say that I am until a test confirms it, if I am. And btw, this would be my first pregnancy, so I really don't know a whole lot on how it's gonna be like.

I took a pregnancy test 7 full days before my period was even due and when i took that test i took it for a joke because we had been trying for a while and i thought it would say negative but it showed up positive in less than a minute. I ran and told my husband but i thought that the test was lying to me so i told him to go and buy me another one and i took it and it was positive so that is how i found out i was pregnant.

Well, my dh and I went to Las Vegas and I was hoping we would get pregnant and well, when I missed my period over Christmas I knew and hoped but was scared (had a number of miscarriages in the past). I waited with very sore breasts and nausea for 12 days then I took the test and it was positive. We were shocked and very happy. I'm 11 1/2 weeks and am still suffering from the sore breasts and nausea.

I enjoyed reading everyone's stories, great question!

The first time I got pregnant, I was on birth control, so I never THOUGHT I was pregnant, I just thought I was losing my mind. I was having the most horrific nightmares about FOOD, and it would cause my to wake up and throw up, or keep me awake at night feeling so sick to my stomach. After this kept on for 3 weeks, I took a test and it was positive. Once my doctor told me how far along I was, I realized my nightmares started close to immediately after conception. I ended up having a miscarriage, and when my husband and I tried to concieve I knew right away that I was pregnant. I basically knew the next morning, it was just a feeling that I had. I didn't have nausea/vommiting, breast tenderness or anything like that to tip me off.... I just knew.

My husband and I were on vacation in London at the time. We went to see Spamalot at the Palace theater and had seats in the nose bleed section. I spent the entire second act feeling hot, dizzy and trying not to throw up. Walking back to the hotel after the show I realized that I hadn't gotten my period yet (assumed it was due to travel, etc.) and that by breasts were really starting to ache. So, the next day I walked over to the Boots pharmacy and bought a test. Sure enough, the test was positive! This is our first after many tries and are very excited.

I was on my last days of vacation at the beach and was cramping for 3 days. I was sure my period was coming. I even took a blood pregnancy test 2 days before I left for vacation(I wanted to make sure it was safe to drink) it came back negative. When I arrived back from my trip I realized how tired I was and I had a strange metallic taste in my mouth, my coworker suggested I take a test so I humored her and sure enough it was positive and I thought I was hallucinating that second line

I was a little late on my period but I didn't take atest until a week after I was late. I had tried for two yearsand on every test it was a negative result, so I didn't want to be disappointed again. So my husband wanted to go to Walmart for food so I said; "and a pregnancy test." he looked at me funny and I said ."i'm a little late."

Basically got the test took it and finally a positive. I think I took at total of seven just to reassure myself and also so that for a couple minutes I could hold in my hands a positive test just so I could see it.

LOL!!!

It was 1980. I had an upset stomach, and was scheduled for a GI. Before the x-ray, they gave me a new blood test for pregnancy. (Up to that time, they only had the rabbit test.) In a half-hour, they came back and told me that I was TWO WEEKS pregnant!

I never even missed a period, which made me feel like I was pregnant for a LONG time.

Hey, and they were absolutely correct, as my baby was born on the day before her due date!
