has any one ever built their own machine quilter?

i want a quilter. but my hand husband has asked me to find some plans to build one first. i have not been able to find anything. so i ws wondering if anyone has seen plans or had plans for one! thanks

You can go to any number of quilting magazines and get the plans and the material for quilters but, be ready to pay the prices.
The wooden one (all wood) are the cheapest at around $600.00 the wood with metal part will go around $800.00 and of course the factory material will be in the neighborhood of 1500.
