Does anyone know if Gilmore Girls is returning?
Also for the fans, what do you think about the writing this Year?

There hasn't been anything official about the continuation of Gilmore Girls for one more season. I believe the major stars are contracted for another year, in case the CW does consider renewing it. The CW doesn't have a lot of successful shows right now, so they may hang on to it because they are unable to fill the slot with something better.
However, many critics have written about the decline of they show in the last year or so. And many fans are also disgruntled. It's also a matter of: where will the characters go next?
The main creator/writer left the show at the end of last season, so the new season has been helmed by a new (male) writer. Sometimes I think he tries too hard, and other times I think he gets the quick dialog spot on.
This used to be one of my favorite shows, but I must confess that I've been frustrated with it recently. Christopher's character drives me nuts, and Lorelai's kowtowing to him is equally irritating.

There has been no comformation that it will return for an 8th year, but there have been rumors they'll do one more. As for the writing, the earlier seasons were much better, but this season has gradually been improving. Some very great L/L episodes, and more Rory and Loralei interaction. They always manage to make me laugh.

Pretty sure this is the last season. It's not as good as it used to be. And Lorelai had better end up with Luke!!!

It stinks and hopefully it will comeback with better writing, I really think the writer/writers did some major boo-boos

I don't think they have stated yet if this is the last year.
Great story lines..I love the feud between Luke and whats his name...bet you can tell who I am siding with.
