I am due August 22, and I am exactly 12 weeks and 2 days. According to that, than my months are done on the 15th of everymonth right? Does that mean I will turn 3 months on the 15th or the 22 because that is my due date? This is very confusing!

Go to http://www.i-am-pregnant.com Not only will it tell you to the day how pregnant you are, but you can talk to other women who are in the same week of pregnancy as you. It can be really helpful and make you feel like you are not alone in this. There are people going through the same exact things as you at the same time.

If you end up using every 4 weeks as a month, you will be pregnant for approximatly 10 months (and from experience, it confuses people)

When reading pregnant material, they often go by weeks becuase of this confusion.

I would tell people you are 12 weeks and 2 days out of 40 weeks.

It avoids confusion and people can decide whether they want to consider you 3 months and 2 days or just under 3 months. This is something I found very frustrating, but now I am due this Sunday so it makes things easier to explain to people.

Sorry, I know it is frustrating because every 4 weeks you go through, you want to tell people that your another month pregnant becase it's almost like you've earned it, but people don't understand that.

Good Luck, I am just a stress ball so this may not be as big of a concern as I made it sound.

Here is a breakdown:

month 1 = week 1-4
month 2 = week 5-8
month 3 = week 9-13
month 4 = week 14-17
month 5 = week 18-21
month 6 = week 22-26
month 7 = week 27-30
month 8 = week 31-35
month 9 = week 36-40

Hope this helps.. I got this out of my favorite pregnancy book "What to Expect When You're Expecting". You should look into buying the book, it's very informative, and answers a lot of practical questions that pregnant women have. By the way, congrats!

Months is a bad way to figure it anyway.

Pregnancy is 40 weeks long. For months, assume there are 4 weeks in a month.

And yes, that means pregnancy is 10 months long. Suprise!

Get out your calender, write your due date as 40 weeks, and number backwards from there on that day of the week. Then when someone asks how many months along you are, you'll know the number of weeks, and you can divide by 4. It really helped me keep track of where I was during my second pregnancy.

Congratulations!

weeks don't always go by the day because some months have more days than other months. Just keep track of the weeks. Hang in there and congrat's on baby
