That really depends on where in Maine you are starting from. Remember that it takes about 7 hours just to drive from the top of Maine to the bottom, and Florida is similar.

From Bangor To Tampa, it is 1387 miles.
From Portland to Tallahassee, it is 1193 miles.

No matter what though, if you are driving there, it is about a full day's drive. If you are flying, it will only take you a few hours.
