Um, are you really asking this? The wife has a right to assume that her husband is disease free - she wouldn't be having unprotected sex with him otherwise. Either he lied to her and said he was negative when he wasn't, or he committed adultery and caught it from someone else before he passed it along to her. Though both are bad, I hope it's not the latter case because she would not only have to deal with his being a lying scumbag, but a lying scumbag that cheated on her and didn't care about her or love her enough to save her from a death sentence.

Both. Should have used a condom. Especially if the wife knew her husband had AIDS. If she didn't know, then its the husbands fault.

How are you sure the wife got it from the husband and not the other way around?

her husbands fault... who should have told her. its the sort of thing you should tell someone before you have sex. even if u use condoms as theyre not 100% effective

well if it came from the husband it was obviously his fault. they were married and shouldn't have to take any precautions unless they wanted to.

I say neither. Sh*t happens. If hubby didn't know he had it how could he help wife. If hubby did and didn't tell her then she should have protected herself anyway. Just my opinion.
