Yes. After all, she was the one you took off her clothes and posed for Playboy and she was the one you married a millionaire and she was the one who made all those comercials and public appearances, so; she is the one who gets to be famous, not some nobody who did nothing for no one. It is called talent and good looks. That is why so many seemingly stupid individuals become famous, and with the fame comes the drugs and the scandals. Don't assume the so-called smart people aren't doing the drugs as well. Betty Ford is filled with people who took something to cope with the stress of success, and I can think of countless nobodys who do or have done drugs at some point in their lives if only to fit in. The thing about fame is you have to want it bad enough to put up with the scrutiny that goes along with having fame and it is that scrutiny that exposes who did what with whom and took what for some reason or another. Is it fair that we know so much about her? Probably not, but; we do.

Early on, she did some regional beauty contest stuff here in Texas
She had started working in strip clubs when she was "discovered" by Hugh Hefner at Playboy
had a run as a "Playmate"--- won the coveted Playmate of the Year thing in 1993 and was immediately contracted to do two or three movies
She came to her success intially because of her pyshical beauty in relationship to her size (she was one big gal) and her very outspoken and very definately Texan speech---a lot of people got the biggest kick out of her drawl !! She was always a hit on the talk shows because she was always saying stuff that not many people ever say !!
Her most recent "claim to fame" was marrying a dude that was a Billionaire that was some 70 years older than her---and when he died she was in the news consistantly because of the hardedged and bitter battle over the money left by the dude --- his biological son taking issue with her having any of his dad's money at all !!!

She was a Playmate of the Year in 1993. and she got more attention than most Playmates because she was a big woman (compared to most models). She was in a couple of movies after that, and she was the Guess jeans model for a little while.

She became Playboy playmate of the tear after her first layout.Then she married that billionaire.He died and left 1.6billion reasons for fame.She would have gotten almost half billion dollars sooner or later.That is why all the leaches hung all over her.I can see wear all that publicity would make you kinda crazy,especially if you where already insecure.I really feel for her family,not all the ones who just want to cash in.

Well, she was still quite young and attractive (only 39), definitely still a sex-symbol and not someone you'd have picked as one likely to die this year; and the circumstances surrounding her death are kinda weird (her lawyer / husband / babydaddy stands to gain a lotta cash, and the cause is uncertain). Add to that the recent death of her son, which made her a sympathetic figure in the news, and her weight loss publicity that gained her sympathy among women ... voila, Big Story.

Stupid people make people like her famous.
She did playboy for like a year and that's it. She did nothing else that should have our attention. The only talent she ever showed was looking good naked, and there are thousands of other women who can do that and aren't famous.
It is sad when anyone passes, but there is no reason anyone who isn't related to Anna nicole should care, what has she ever done for us?

I dont know how but she always came off as being a dumb blonde. Always trying to act like Marilyn Monroe type. I think she was deep down a smart woman but sometimes you get more attention acting the dumb, stupid air head blonde. She had connections with Hugh Hefner and his play boy stuff ..She knew what she was doing for sure. Guess she musta OD'd on some of her pills or whatever.

No ones cares about anyone until they are dead. And now people are coming out and admiring her and grieving for her, but when she was alive people werent throwing themselves at her, they were just like, oh theres Anna. When you die, you get 5 times as famous. If you die young, and are still in your career. Its sad that she died. But this thing is going to keep building, shes gonna get really famous again, youre gonna see her on TV 24-7 for about two weeks, and then she will go away.
