2 times a day should be more than enough, just smoosh up some flake food and sprinkle in a teeny bit.
If you can find some, get some java moss. It has lots of little buggies on it that the little guy can munch on if he gets hungry or if you miss a feeding.
But yeah, twice a day would be perfect. I definitely would feed him at least once a day.

Feeding frequency would depend on water change frequency, clean water is the most important growth factor. You can feed once, twice or more per day, just be sure to siphon out the left-overs at day's end. It doesn't have to be a big water change, just enough to clean out the food and"stuff". The replacement water should be de-chlorinated before adding it to the tank, and the temperature should match very closely. A small air driven sponge filter powered by a gentle flow of bubbles will make tank hygiene easier, and as it seasons(cycles) the fry will"graze" on the surface. Then keep the filter cycled for the next batch of fry,it will help the growth rate in future generations.

Any baby fishes need to be fed more often that adults or juveniles. You should feed 3-4 times a day and feed heavier than you might think.. You must be very careful to remove any uneaten food about 5-10 minutes after feeding has basically stopped or it will foul the tank very quickly. Babies are not as good at finding food as older fish and need the extra time and extra feedings.

Guppy fry need to be fed 3-5 times a day because they have a very fast metabolism and will fully digest their food in about 20 minutes.
Because they need fed so much, you need to change 50% of their water every 2 days.

All good answers, but a lot depends on the water temperature, too. Winnie will grow faster in warmer water, but will require more frequent water changes, also Tetra flakes should be crushed fine at this stage, and fed very sparingly. With only one fish to feed the amount of food should be minuscule. So bottom line, how often you feed depends on how often you want to change water.-------Good luck.----PeeTee

baby guppies empty their stomachs every 20 minuets. it is not advised to feed this often. you should be feeding them 5 times per day, feed them as much as they can clear up in ten minuets. powdered food is better for young guppies. they also enjoy a meal of creamed egg yolk. hard boil an egg, remove the yolk and turn it into a sticky paste. your adult guppies will love it too. this is a really good source of protein for your fish and it will ensure that they grow healthy and colorful. feed them this once every 3 days.

Once a day should be fine. I have guppies and I feed them once a day. What they don't eat right away lands on the bottom and they will get it if they are hungry.
