When I have breakfast, I get very bad pains in my stomach. Not like I have to run to the bathroom kind of pain, just stomach pain. Sometimes, it's so bad I cannot even move! Eventually, it just goes away. I asked my doctor and he says its just gas. I also have acid reflux which I believe could be one reason for it. But has anyone else experienced this? If so, what made it go away?
I'm 12 weeks pregnant by the way, and serious answers only please!

congratulations! i am 12 weeks pregnant as well. I expierence a very sharp pain occasionally when i stand up or eat breakfast, i have been told it can be gas, or even pain from your muscles adjusting to the baby. Whichever i have been told its very normal, and nothing you should worry about. Good lucck

I've had that problem a long time, but it was worse while I was pregnant. If it's been too long since I've eaten, the first thing I eat or drink in the morning gives me stomach pains.

Try having a little snack in the middle of the night when you get up to use the bathroom. A handful of whole-wheat crackers or a cup of yogurt. Just something so that your stomach isn't too empty in the morning when you get up.
And try having your cereal or toast first, so that your tea/coffee/juice doesn't land too acidic on your empty stomach.

Hope that helps, and congratulations!

i had the same problem. i always felt uncomfortable throughout the entire pregnancy, i think it is to do with your muscles stretching and the position of the baby no matter how small. you may find that it worsens as the baby grows bigger but it will soon be over and you will miss what it feels like to be pregnant

if it gets worse then go back to your doctor but it is normal to have a pain if you have gas....that really does hurt. Just be careful and just see how it goes

i had pains that were soo bad i couldnt even think about moving. i talked to my doctor and she told me that it was just round ligament pain and it will continue throughout the pregnancy because while your uterus is growing the ligaments attached to it are growing and stretching. ( labor and delivery told me it was gas but i dont believe that everyone knows when they are gassy).

You should not be having stomach pain like you said, call a pediatrician, sooner the better.
