I am pullng up the old flooring in my kitchen, it is coming up with just water and a scraper. my question is is there anything that can get it up quicker? should i let it soak? its the kind thats like laminate or linoleum with the back you peel and stick.

use a heat gun to soften the glue... no chemicals...

The pros would do two different things. You can try a head gun, but what will work better is a block of ice big enough to cool down the floor tile. Move it along slowly and use a big scraper to pop the tiles off as you go.

You can buy adhesive removers from flooring suppliers that may speed up the process. Be careful of soaking. It may warp or damage the wood sub floor and create extra work before you install the new floor covering.

You can rent a tile remover for this, it works like a champ and with little to no work, for about fifty bucks a day.

make sure it isn't old linoleum with an asbestos backing!!!
