Could be any one of a number of things... pleae provide a little more info. Where is it on the fish? How long has it been there? How big is it now? How long have you had the fish? When was the last time any new fish (including feeders) was put in the tank?

Which that we can probably figure it out for you

It could be an internal parasite. Some internal parasites are laid by the adult in the lungs of the fish and as they hatch, they migrate through the fish's body and lodge themselves under the skin, thus causing a large, whitish bump on the skin. Another symptom of internal parasites is white, stringy poop. If this sounds like the problem, you can feed it medicated food that will treat the fish internally and kill the parasites from the inside. It could also be tuberculosis or tumors. Tuberculosis also appears as nodules under the skin. TB is contagious so, if you have other fish and you think it might be TB, you need to remove this fish immediately and protect yourself as it is contagious to humans as well. For this, you need to see a vet. The fish may need to be euthanized. If its a tumor, there also is no cure, but this isn't contagious. You can euthanize, or allow it to live out its days. You will need to read up on these diseases and review them with your fish's symptoms. If you can't diagnose it, you may wish to take it to a vet. There are vets out there who treat fish, whether as a specialty or resulting from a hobby. I'm sorry for your sick fish and I'm hoping it's just parasites! Good luck!

it's from running in the glass, alot of people who have largemouth bass these fish go phtco and run into the walls. to fix this u need to leave the lights off for a olonger time and walk slowly up to the tank and not scare them.

It could be from running into the glass. My red belly has a huge callus from running into the glass trying to eat people. If it is on his head or face that's what it COULD be. It might be cancer or parasites or something though.
