my eye lids tend to twitch randomly. I think it's because I'm tired or mal-nutritioned (from what I remember hearing). What is the actual cause?

I think it can happen when there is extra pressure on those nerves...like from your sinuses...that happens to me sometimes...it's really irritating and there's nothing that can be done to stop it!

I just read this:
"On rare occasions, muscle twitching can be caused by an imbalance of calcium in the blood. If that were the case, I would expect that other muscles would be affected beyond your eyelid, and the effects would be more profound."

I get that too. Always when I'm tired, I once asked the optician about it and he told me it's very common if you're tired or stressed. So, have a long hot bath and an early night and hopefully you'll have a twitch-free day tomorrow!

My eyelids do the same whenever I am tired or I am not getting enough rest.

Do you spend many hours on the computer? This could also be a cause.

Mine do it when I'm stressed, like when I got fired from my job, it was bad. Maybe you need glasses. I asked my doctor about it and he couldn't give me an explanation
