Personally - too matchy for my taste.

I like it better when the names are more different, I just think it makes for more of a feel of indiviualism in the twins as they get older.

I think they are to close
I would suggest something a little different
Steven James and Skye Anne
Spence James Skye Anne
Skylar James and Sarah Anne
Skylar James and Samantha
The twins need different names
Keeping the same first letter is cute, but each have a different name.. Skylar and Skye are so close
That what I would tell my friends
Skylar James

I agree that Skylar and Skye are a little too close for comfort. If she really loves the names then maybe she can pick one (Skye is pretty) and then go a different direction for the boys name or vice versa. I like James and Anne

I like Skylar James......but Skye Anne is very, very bland. How about Skye Anne Marie? Or Skye Anne Lauren? Something with some style!

Ooh! Can you talk her out of it? Skylar and Skye are too similar. Not only do they look silly together, but she will get tired of having two children with basically the same name.

Anne and James are lovely names, though. She should use those for the first names and then give them matchy middle names if she really wants the cutesy twin names thing.

Skylar James is good but I like the name Skye just not the middle name of Anne with it! My husband and I want to name our next daughter Scye Love!

i do like both of the names I would leave out the Anne. One thing she should think about. The names are so close that when she is calling Skyler Skye may answer or the other way around. but if she is happy that is what counts

She might as well just name them Twin 1 and Twin 2. That would be more original than Sky and Skye! Just because their twins shouldn't mean they should share the same name.

I think that Skylar is ok but Skye is really horrible. I was thinking maybe Kayla for the girl

To be honest, those are corny names for twins.
Skylar is more like a girls name. So I would go with Skylar Anne.
How about Donovan James for a boy?

She will never be able to shorten the boy's name to "Sky" if she is calling him or speaking to him casually.

As the child grows up, he will run into the same problem. He will always need to be called by his "long" name.

As teens, it will be really annoying when friends call to figure out who's who.

Nice on their own...too much confusion when together. Especially with the birthdates being the same. They will always have to use their middle names. School will be hard, etc. You get the picture.
