it signifies the feelings or pains you still feel in connection with her

This means that you have feelings that your own mother doesn't give you enough attention, and that your selfish and narcisstic nature (which is in all of us, don't try and deny it) wants her love. You see no point to having her, and the anger inside of you about this rages to the point that you cannot constitutionalize your undying attention need. You really should try and see what SHE likes to do, maybe have some activities and such for HER. Because my mother, like yours, has some serious mental problems from having a very terrible life. I did not know about this when I was younger and hated her, yelled at her, fought with her, little did I know the way she acted was a reflection of how she was raised. And little did I also know i was killing her inside, she got depression, anxiety, OCD anything you can name and resorted to drugs. I generally just learned to leave her alone, no point in hurting her more than shes been hurt already. The only thing you can do is live your own life, find friends, and have fun. When I generally was just polite to her and left her alone, she got off the drugs, and actually wanted to spend time with me, but I was too happy actually having a life. Hope that helped.

There's no way to fully interpret this dream without knowing the context of it. You have to consider what you were feeling, such as fears or worries, or even desires, when you had the dream. What as going on in your life then? Often intense experiences resurface in dreams, just with similarly associated people and/or different places. You probably understand the dream better than anyone else, unless someone else knows you and your life really well, down to all the details

Any dream where someone is killing you is a spirit of fear from which you need to be delivered from. 2 timothy 1:7. hebrews 2:14-15.

Dreams are simply random electrical impulses that generate in your brain stem. The "movie" that you see when you dream is your brain's attempt to make sense of this activity, often attaching memories, fantasies, or fears to the neural impulses.

Your mother definitely must not approve or your lifestyle of something you are doing. She is in essence "killing" a part of you she doesn't like. Talk to her.
