Question about Al Quaeda?

When Osama Bin Laden was fighting with Russia, USA came to his aid and supplied him with training, arms & ammunition. But now, OBL is against USA and sending terrorists to kill American nationals in the name of Jihad. Why would someone someone consider us an enemy, when we helped them sometime ago? Is the government holding back some sensitive information from the general public, which is the reason OBL has turned against us? My Muslim friends have confirmed that the Quran(Koran) says nothing about Jihad, so why are these people not using their minds??

that all we did for them, once russia back out, they were on their own. OBL also doesn't like the fact that the US has bases in Saudi Arabia.

First OBL did not fight against Russia He ran a medical rehabilitation center for wounded soldiers.

All the problems with OBL happened after he was radicalized by the Muslim Brotherhood. Ayman al-Zawahiri is his handler Bin Laden is more of a naive monk with a lot of money. Like other cult leaders of the past he has crossed the boundary between sanity and insanity.

I don't say USA helped Laden, actually they utilized him in their favor selfishly against Russia and now it seems like its Laden's turn to be selfish. But i really don't know why Laden is against USA, but i can say that he had got a good reason after USA attacked islamic countries like Iraq, Afghanistan and he will kill more Americans if not stopped.

According to your Koran, it states that all Muslims are to kill all people who will not follow the Muslim religion if they refuse to listen to your conversion talk. Such people are considered by you to be infidels, to be killed or enslaved (even after converting to the Muslim religion, they are treated as slaves--correct me if I'm wrong). This is the essence of Jihad. Also, don't you know that there was a 9/11? Does a friend or ally kill him or his relatives? You don't make sense.

Because he OSB obviously was a back stabber and Bush 1 and bush 2 were very friendly with OBL and his family...they were family friends and B1 and B2 both were thinking Oil Oil Oil...So they both used each other but, OBL **** all over Bushs

I don't know. Someone else must know more aobut Osama's histroy, philosophy, etc.

Many times, the US and other nations have allied with someone unsavory, to fight someone even more unsavory. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend."

The US allied itself with one of the worst mass-murderers in history, Joseph Stalin, in order to beat Hitler. It was the right decision.

We were also allies with saddam Hussein at one point - or at least gave him aid.

A more interesting question is why many of the same people who say that Osama would never ally himself with Saddam point out that Osama allied himself with REAGAN to drive the Soviets out from Afghanistan!!!

If you're in a big enough fight, you take what you can get as help.

According to the 911 Commission Report, bin Laden became angered with the U.S. after Afghanistan. While we helped him with weapons in his fight against the Soviets, he felt that we deserted him after the victory was won.

Additionally, at the time of Gulf War I, bin Laden apparently went to the Saudi's and offered to bring his fighters from Afghanistan to force Saddam out of Kuwait. The Saudi's said "thanks but no thanks", we would rather let the American's do it. According to the 911 Commission, this both humiliated and angered bin Laden, both personally and in terms of his religion, to the point that his anger turned to blind hatred.

These extremists will use anything and anyone and any government to get what they want, friends one day and enemies the next. They have no agenda but to kill people!
