hot flashes yes, menopause... her over active imagination. She very well could be having hot flashes but they could be caused from a thyroid problem or some other underlying cause. Take her to the doctor about it.
Tell her if its menopause, they will have to give her 5 shots a day in her butt to stop it. I bet her story changes.
lol good luck

Why would you even entertain the thought of your "7" year old going through menopause. Come on now...she heard someone else say that and now she is saying it. She probably didn't even have a hot flash. She probably heard somebody say that too.

there is a difference between saying she has hot flashes and saying she has menopause - which is it?
It's very possible for her to have hot flashes, but it would be for some other medical condition - not menopause. Take her to a doctor. Never ignore a child's complaint of symtoms.

If she says she is "going thru menopause" then she is probably role playing in an effort to indentify with and process the situation someone she knows is going thru. Her mother, grandmother, aunt, teacher, tv show character, who knows? Kids like to internalize things in order to understand them better.

She's learning a lot right now from school and friends. I think she's just in a hurry to grow up. That's all.

Cute. I wouldn't say that was true though. Active imagination maybe. Or maybe she feels hot and is jumping to conclusions. Who knows!?
