There are lots of affordable apartments in DE. I lived in a few. I don't know exactly what area you are talking about, or price range. Call Mid Atlantic Reality. They have lots of Places. I stayed in a few of theres and they are affordable if you have kids. Nice areas too.

go to a grocery store and pick up some rental guides, or google "apartment finders" in your area - this is a free service, you tell them what you're looking for and where, give them a price range, and they'll show you different places that meet your needs. I used this service in Austin and they found me a great place!
