How do you feel about nanaotechnolgy, what is your perception of it? Do you think this will lead to utopiean dream? or will the world get swallowed in grey goo? I'm intrested in the social aspects of how we as people will interact with the technology, rarther than tech specifics themselves. Why is it hyped up? Why are their protests about it? Will it be in the hands of the masses, or only those that can afford? What applications will we see, not just medical. Will we really all be alchemists or try to turn pencils into diamond? Will we see people embrace this technology, or will people fear it and turn away?

Isn't that where the boffins create molecular sized motors to drive molecular sized machines into micro places like the blood circulation system or the bowel, or the brain. Imagine what could happen if the chip went crazy or the control system got into the wrong hands, it doesn't bear thinking about, man.
It would be OK if it was used to sort out my drains, or tidy those places under the bed where the vacuum don't reach, or to harrass the moles in my garden, yep, I'd be happier there.
I can't see the masses getting it to be honest. I mean we have enough trouble finding our remote controls for the telly don't we. Course, we may get it unwittingly in our food - I don't trust this government at all. They could have an army of those things in your house collecting all sorts of stuff without you knowing.

In my case, the first thing colud be understand what is this: nanotechnology? A new name to old things? Marketing applied to improve prices with sophisticated names?
This thing look distant to people (like me) who lives in undeveloped countrys. We don't have protests about it (unless Your Funds send money to some Non Government Organization make protests...).

I would put it in my signature brand of food and feed it to all the security personell of the united states, army, navy coast guard, marines, police. after they've all ingested it, then i will make my nano drones give them the greatest constipation of their lives rendering them invalid. after that, i will march on washington on from there take OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
