YES ,most definitely

you do not need a special day to tell someone you love and care for them, I'm fortunate to have a husband who surprises me every now and then through the year with special things, picnic, maybe cleaning up the house, bringing me home tiny gifts, etc..

we do celebrate valentines by doing special things for each other, no gifts that ended after marriage years ago now we celebrate by ie: dinner, bubble bath, etc etc, although sometimes i honestly would like the whole speal, I'm still a girl who enjoys that kind of stuff, but i look at my life and i have nothing to complain about, that being said i know the stress of trying to find that perfect gift or perfect day to plan for valentines day, and for some it can bring heartbreak or joy, I'm sure most people feel the pressure of valentines day especially when the Christmas decoration are not even down when the valentines stuff is out.

Most people should really think about that day. too comercial, no i dont think so at all. it always amazes me that there has to be a seperate day where people "are reminded" to tell someone how they feel. in this world we have now we should have MORE reminders to be caring and loving, to not just people we know but to everyone!!

It is too commercial. Yet not just that. It should not be celebrated at all, when every day with a lady , whom loves, should be appreciated. And not in gifts etc. For example, if I were with my soulmate, she would feel in my kiss, how much I love her, or how I hold her. Every day, not just one day. Also, I would want the same from her, loyal, trustiing, appreciative, hungery love.

Yet , I don t think I ll meet anyone like that. I thought I did for a time, but it s over since it wasn t.

Do you think that VALENTINES day has become TOO comercial??

WAY too commerical...i mean its supposed to be about expressing love. recently i heard that there was a survey (on radio) how guys want threesomes for valentines day. its not "be my valentine, be my valentine too?" its about LOVE ! between two people! not about having these wild crazy things. and ppl really take advantage of the holiday.

Become? It's been that way for decades.

I like it anyway because I am good about sending flowers to my wife at the office. Invariably I am in the minority amongst all the women there who get nothing.

Lots of co-workers telling your wife how wonderful her husband is....priceless.

it has always been a commercial 'holiday'..

society is becoming more and more mateialistic, so this transfers to any and all holidays where a gift is typical.

so, to answer the question... in my opinion, yes, it has become way too commercial

Yes, Yes, Yes!
I like to spend a romantic evening with my husband. Spending time together is what's important to me. We don't exchange gifts.
