Both. Cats are really easy to care for and can be very loving, but not very loyal.
Dogs need a lot of time and attention, and they are very smart, loyal and loving.

Depends on the kind of person you are. People that like to go out alot and have alot of independence should probably opt for a cat as cats require less one on one care. They sleep the better part of a day away,while a dog would need daily walks and excercise,can be very emotional about their owner being away,they need stimulation and depending on breed could be a real disservice to the dog if the owner is away all day,some breeds don't do well alone. So, what kind of person are you? Dog or cat? You decide,you are the only one that knows what you are all about.

Depends on the owner. Some people are better suited to dogs, and some prefer cats. Dogs are faithful, cats are independent. Both are affectionate. You need to spend more time with dogs than with cats, but dogs provide protection because of their pack mentality. Cats tend to be less "needy".

Depends on what you want.
Cats are more independent and naturally use a litter box. You can leave a cat alone in the house longer than a dog. Your cat will love you but will live its own life. They will keep rats and mice out of your house; even non-hunter will at least chase them and scare them out. But they often kill birds too if they get a chance.
Dogs are pack animals and naturally want to please you. (This doesn't mean they always understand what you want, lol.) They need to be taken out to do their business regularly. They want to be with you. Obedience is natural to them, as long as you can make them understand what you want. They will protect you if you are attacked, even a friendly dog will do this.

Its depends on who U R! if you dont like walks and just like a pet to cuddle get a cat. If you like walks and want a lyal friend get a dog XD

depends on your lifeststyle I suppose, dogs are more "hands on" imo
