I just finished THe Sandman: Preludes and Nocturnes (a graphic novel by Neil Gaiman.) It was amazing! Though my library has this annoying habit of buying only the first and last books of a series, so I'm stuck buying the next few- which is only bad since that puts me out of a hundred bucks. Oh, well, the books are worth it.
For actual novels, I am currently rereading The Misfits by James Howe and Briar Rose by Jane Yolen. I'm considering reading the Old Man and the Sea, if I have time in the near future. Books are so fun!
Was "The Glass Castle" good? Always looking for new books!

Just started a book called "The Ruins" by Scott Smith. Just finished reading two books (I usually have 2 or more going at once). One was the movie based on the movie "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" and the other was an over sized book on WWII that had lots of photos and a DVD included. I'm waiting until March to reread all the Harry Potter books so I'm ready for the last one.

oh i read the glass castle a few months ago!!! that was a great book! i love memoirs like that. have you read runnign with scissors? if you liked the glass castle you will probably like that too. right now im reading 2 books..."midwives" its about a midwife on trial bc she performed an emergency c section to save the baby but the mom died. the story is told from the viewpoint of the midwife's daughter, its a good book so far. and the second book im reading is "a million little peices", its the book that was on oprah but it turned out some parts were embellished so there was all this controversy...but its pretty good so far too even if its not entirely true.

I am reading a book by Michelle West called "The Broken Crown". I am at somewhere around 350 pages and only about halfway through it. I don't much care for it, I think it's very confusing, and I am only continuing out of sheer stubbornness. The big problem is, it's the first book of a trilogy, and I know I'm gonna have to struggle through all 3.

For Fiction I'm reading that "Cell" book by Stephen King. As corny as the premise sounded at first, I actually rather like it. Plus, as with any good zombie story, it's rife with social commentary and subtle satire.
As for Nonfiction I'm reading "The End of Faith: Terror, Religion, and the Future of Reason" by Sam Harris which is a genuinely frightening book. It's very well written, easy to read, and stuffed with information and research (maybe 1/3 of the book is references, footnotes, and bibliography) and it's about how religions today in general, and Islam in particular, are incompatible with modern society and how they can result in the destruction of humanity as weapon technology improves. It goes into a lot of history and makes some very interesting points.

Just finished "Angelhair" by Joseph Noga and can't tell enough people of this good book. Hope you can share in my enthusiasm for a well written yet easy to read story. Hope you are not one who considers such enthusiasm annoying. If not and you would want to take a peek at the storyline go to the authors website www.joenoga.com and take a look. If you like the read be enthusiastic like me and pass the word and book along. Enjoy!
