I am refering to connecting via wireless carrier. I am also talking about playing games like MMORPG and if so at what speeds will I be playing at and what type of card should I look at getting? Thanks in advance for any assistance I get.

The card doesn't matter. You should be able to play without any problems, unless you have an old Operating System, or a sucky firewall program. You might have to enable ports in your firewall. But again, this has nothing to do with the pc card.
