in high school, i wasn't the most confident person. then, in my senior year, i was fortunate to have a teacher, sister marie joannes, who told me that i could go anywhere and do anything with my life. she also told me to aim high and not to settle for a blue collar job.
she was the first person who ever made me feel intelligent and worthwhile. that was 42 years ago. sister has since left the convent, but we keep in touch every christmas and easter.
i did go one to earn a bachelor and masters degree to become a teacher. i taught elementary school for 18 years and then moved into a principalship for the remainder of my career. right now i'm retired but am teaching college level english classes at a local college. this position is part-time, but it's the best job i've ever held.
thank you sister marie joannes, csj.

Growing up I always struggled in school thinking that I wasn't intelligent enough to succeed and do well. I mainly passed on "D's". In my first semester in college I failed my first exam. But the next day I turned in a paper in another class. It was a paper on my personal philosophy of life. My professor wrote across the top of the paper, "Great paper! You have one of the most brilliant minds I've ever encountered." I finished school with a 3.98 GPA. That professor turned my whole life around. Today I'm a successful teacher, CEO, entrepreneur and editorial columnist.

Yes the day my daughter was born i met that person, it was then reinforced the day my son was born, I never knew life til then and would most certainly not want life without them now, it amazes me even to this day how much I Love those 2 and how they are my entire life and without them I would be nothing.

Now with that being said Jesus Christ Loves each and everyone of us that way and it just sends chills throughout my body when I think of his Love for us, for he is the one who gave me those kids and there is no way for me to repay his Love except to glorify him with even greater Love than humanly possible and ask for his forgiveness for my in justices and sins.

and for those of you who have no answer to this question then you should seek out GOD and when you find him you will know what I mean.

My little brother was one of those people that just made everyone smile at all times. Even though he was younger he had as much of an influence on me as I did him. Unfortunately in June, 2 days before he was supposed to graduate he was hit by a car and died. Everything has reversed, I have been miserable since and measure everyone around me based on how they can't compare to him. The only time i ever saw people upset in his presence was at his funeral. God has a sick sense of humor.

Yes! My son, now 16, has always been a constant source of joy, laughter, wonderment and inspiration...even a role model for me. Unlike me, he is very non-judgmental, unfailingly kind and incredibly compassionate, even to people I think do not deserve it. He has not only changed my life by the love he shares with me and my husband, but what a good example he sets for us and his friends of a true humanitarian.

my fiance... i was a mess and out for blood on any male that wasnt my first but could possibly be. my fiance humbled me, gave me direction and gave my life meaning and love a new meaning as well. i never knew someone outside of family could love or give a damn about me as much as he did. he stood by me when i was jobless, sick, fighting with family and now everything seems okay... we're having our first child, will be married soon and living together always. thank you for the question... i need to make a "thank you tremendously" call to someone special... I met God. The transformation was total. I thank Him everytime. Can't imagine living without Him. Afraid to lose Him and this western liberal permissiveness aint helping.
