That is actually very normal for your age. You can be pregnant unless you had intercouse or fooled around. Since your not sexual active I would dismiss that. You body right now is going through major changes. If there is diabetis or heart disease in your family have them do a blood test for PCOS. its when you have cyst on your ovaries. Dont' be upset. anything from gaining weight to loosing weight can change your hormones
Menarche is a girl's first menstrual cycle. A first period usually happens after several years of pubic hair growth, breast development, and rapid growth known as a "growth spurt." Menarche most commonly happens sometime between ages 11 and 14.7
The first menstrual cycles are usually light and unpredictable. During the first 2 years, a typical teenage menstrual cycle can be anywhere from 21 to 42 days long. About 2 out of 3 girls have a regular pattern of menstrual periods within 2 years of menarche.5
Long, heavy periods are fairly common during the teen years. The hormone (endocrine) system is still maturing, and progesterone levels aren't always high enough during regular cycles to help the uterine lining (endometrium) break down. When the endometrium has built up for too long, heavy menstrual bleeding follows. This type of bleeding usually gets better on its own, without treatment. However, see a health professional for menstrual bleeding that lasts longer than 7 days or for cycles that are shorter than 21 days or longer than 42 days. For more information, see the topic Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding.

Don't worry sweetie, it takes a long while before your periods regulate themselves, if ever. That's the exact time and age when my daughter got her period last year and she isn't regular at all. You really don't have anything to worry about and my guess when you finally do start, it will make up for the one that you missed. I am glad to hear you aren't sexually active because at the age of 12, sex should be the last thing on your mind. Enjoy life will your young, it is the best time of your life I promise! Just relax and your period will come when you are least expecting it.

Its ok, there is nothing to be afraid of. because you are young, it is natural for you to be irregular. you may not get your period again for quite some time. the older and more mature your body gets, the more regular you will become. also, there are many reasons a woman might not get her period, not just pregnancy. it can be from beeing over stressed or some times being very physically active can cause a woman to miss her period. if you are still worried, talk to a responsible adult, probably a woman. if you don't trust your mother, I suggest the school nurse. Even if it is a man, they are a health care professional and will be willing to answer your questions and they are required to be confidential. Good luck and if you ever need any thing, feel free to send an e-mail.

Hey don't worry so much. Some girls dont get their period until later. my cousin didn't get hers until her was 15. And if you have not been sexually active you are not pregnant. They are talking about when you are having sex and you miss your period you have a chance of being pregnant or something is a little of. If you have a mom or older sister or and woman older than you that you can talk to I would talk to them. It is nothing to be embarresed about. Every girl goes through this and you just need some one to tell you the facts. You'll be ok and if you need someone to talk to because you feel you can't talk to anyone you know email me at babygirl_apriljean@yahoo.com good luck and you are ok dont worry about it. Also when i was 10 years old i started mine but then didn't get another one for a year and a half. if that helps you out at all.

You probably shouldn't worry unless you go for a couple of months without having one. Your still really young so your cycles are not yet regulated. You could also just be late from being under a lot of stress from school or just life right now.

I don't know. I've never heard of that but I suggest - just to be on the safe side - you go see a doctor. It will help to ease your mind at least.
