It all depends on your daugjter and how she feels. If she is tired let her rest for a while. Let her experience this day of woman hood. She can take two asprin for the cramps very 4 to 6 hours or put a heating pad on for the cramps in she doesn't want to take the asprin. Let her do something for herself or have a bonding day for her first period. Have a girls night out.Yoga can be good for streatching.

Try to rememebr what you did in your first time. Do the same to your daughter also. It is better to give her rest so that psychologically she is comfortable.

No! Let her just be a kid and let her have fun! Periods shouldn't stop girls from doing what they want to do, so keep living life!

I would have her take it easy for a couple of days. I remember having bad cramps and fatigue when I had my first period. More importantly though, I remember feeling kind of scared and confused and wondering wtf was happening to me. So, yes, for both physical and emotional reasons.
