I mean, it's tragic for the 5-month old baby, but I will not mourn the death of a gold-digging former stripper. Look at the Boston Globe obituaries and you'll find some other people who have died; there is a doctor who used to trudge thru the snow to help people, a nobel laureate, and a 110 year-old WWI veteran - oddly, none of these great people's death made the news.

I couldn't agree with you more. It is most disturbing that there are many many people out there who know more about Anna Nicole Smith (who really never did anything worthwhile in her life to have earned such fame) than they do about the US involvement in Iraq or even their local policiticians. Perhaps if people spent as much time learning about the world around them as they do the intricate details of such a "non-contributor" to society, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in today.
It's the media that is making this news.

Look at the rememberance and fondness of Marilyn Monroe... her life, her death, this will be the same years from now.... and you will talk about it as the history YOU all were alive to see as do people who were alive in the 'Marilyn' years.

Don't like it? Don't look.

I was tired of it 30 seconds after it was announced because I was already tired of seeing her face plastered on my TV every single day for the past 5 months.

why is it tragic for the 5 month old baby? She will never remember her Mom .....Maybe she has a chance at a normal life now instead of a crazy drug induced one that Anna would have given her........

Use this as a lesson on how stupid the mainstream media is.

She is not important. The mainstream media doesn't care about what's important. People, please pay attention!
