I love it but pretty much have to smuggle it into the house, because my husband thinks its junk.

When People magazine first came out back in the 1970s it was more focused on telling us about interesting people around the country; someone who had done something really great, etc. But now it's just a glossy rag. These days, it's only good for keeping up with gossip and the latest fashion. Still, it beats The National Enquirer or STAR, etc. My opinion on People magazine: it's a guilty pleasure that is paying the paparazzi to harrass people.

I think it is a wonderful magazine for truth.... All the other magazines such as In Touch Weekly or Star Magazine are just lieing because they want publicity so it's okay that some people don't like it but I think it is the best magazine for good celeb news

Very expensive junk. Have you checked out how much a subscription to it costs? Even the guy who sold me some subscriptions pointed out that People costs too much.

I get People magazine in the mail once a week. I like it, it keeps me entertained! Though I admit, at times it can be quite boring.

I used to buy it all the time, but now I only buy the "special" issues (Sexiest Man Alive, Most Beautiful, the year-end issues). Plus, it seems like the pages are made out of tissue paper; they're not as thick as they used to be.

It used to be better, now its just another version of US Weekly or one of the other gossip magazines.

ppl magazine is sux.. i think the worst among others..
Us, In Touch, life&style, and australian gossip magazine are better..
they have more gossip about celebrities..
for example: famous, WHO, NW (news weekly), etc
Ppl is more like talking and talking.. discussing.. politics.. ppl missing.. bla bla bla.. boringgg...
