I would like to find out distribution numbers (How many shares are there, are there publically known majority or large scale minority shareholders, maybe even information about the nationalities.)

Specifically I'm looking for information about Coca-Cola, but would prefer a generic resource.

I'm not looking for investment information so much as who actually owns these companies, specifically for the purpose of determining if the big US megacorps are owned by the actual public, and what percentage of the shares are being actively traded on the open market.

I usually go to CNN.com, and then click Business, to get my information. That brings me to Money Magazine.

You enter the company's ticker symbol or enter the name of the company in another button to find the symbol. It not only get you the quote of the share but you can click to find out financials and background info of the company, news, and also that industry.

Tricky. This is a very slippery company. Take care before investing. There are a lot of different Coca Cola companies out there - Coca Cola Enterprises (UK) in which I don't think you can buy shares and I would not anyway because sales are not so high because it's a cold country.

Coca Cola Amatil (India) is a distributor and maybe manufacturer - hot country but dodgy. Currency is crap.

The real CC in which to invest is the one which sells CC in Italy, Spain, and around the Med. That's the real money machine apart from (of course) CC USA.
