I'm planning to ask this guy that works in a shop i visit very often to go out for a coffee this weekend, however, last sunday when i was in the shop looking at some cd's...i casually looked up and saw him talking to his colleague, but while talking to his colleague about some paperwork he was looking over at me...and it was a look that lasted longer than just a glance passing in my direction...then, when he looked back down to write something, he smiled to himself.... Does this mean anything or am i reading to far into it? and, do you think i should ask him out? I'd appreciate any advice! Thanks :-)

the best way to know is to ask him yourself or you can always ask someone to ask him what he thinks of you

You said that you have gone into this guys shop very often. Have you two had a conversation yet? What it sounds like is that you guys have a mutual attraction and that when you were in his shop the other day, when he was writing whatever it was and smiling to himself, he was being kind of coy. Maybe even a little flirty.
That is what it sounds like to me but sometimes we make assumptions and get all worked up over nothing. So definately ask him out and be really enthusiastic over it but just take it one step at a time. You'll find out soon enough. Good luck!

Did he smile? or wonder why you were starring at him and then look down and smile? it makes a big difference. Asking him out for coffee is not like asking him to sleep with you although him being like me a man, would probably say yes to both .. of course if he was single.. ;-) GO FOR IT !!!!!!

If her were to look at you and quickly turn away I wouldnt bother, BUT from what you are describing it seems as if he is attracted to you and enjoyed the staredown you gave eachother and showed that with his smile. I would ask him if I were you. If you are still unsure, when asking him dont be specific but ask if he would like to go do out "sometime". If he doenst jump at the chance or hesitates, then leave it at that!

Yes. Go for it! Be bold. You were going to ask him out anyway before the whole smiling thing. I think smiling and looking at you is definately a good sign.

It is defiantly a good sign, You should ask him out like you stated of he might find a interest in another in the time you drag your feet you have nothing to loose and every thing to gain. You will never win or loose until you run the race.

well..........this could mean something.....you just need to pay attention to his reactions from now on and make sure it wasn't because their was something on ur face or something! I bet its b/c he's interested, but just wait a little bit more before jumoing into it. You just wanna make sure so that you dont ask him and it turns out he didnt like you and then its akward between you! Good luck!

Considering that 90% (I believe) of all communication is non-verbal, then it is one of two things- either he is interested & looking for more contact, or knows that you are interested & is enjoying the power.
Only you can know, from his body language and the way he smiled.
Trust your first instincts on this, and maybe let him ask you out .

You probably are reading too much into it but don't we all....why not go for it...it's better to be rejected than to never know.... you go girl! Good Luck!

of course you should. I mean if you dont you will probably never get the chance to go out with him....but if you do, the worst he can do is decline....no big deal right.
