Also look into 4-H ... I think county extension office would have that info ... or look up 4-H clubs online.

Not in SC so I don't have specific help but you can also try fabric or craft shops. And community centers or boys and girls clubs. If your local elderly center has classes they might enjoy adopting a granddaughter to teach. Hope you can find something.

Check with your county extension office they may be doing classes or would like to start one. If her grandmother is still living they would love to spend some quality time together. I know that I love the memories of quilting and pieceing with my grandmother.

Check your phone book for sewing machine shops - they usually have classes. Quilt shops too.
