Somewhere in the documents you received when you boughth the car, there is a car key code. If you can not locate it, contact the dealer where you purchased the car, they should be able to look it up in their files. Their parts department or any auto supply place can cut you a new key from the key code you provide.

Write down the Vin number and take it to the dealership with your vehicle registration and they will cut you a new key. The Vin number can be found in two places. Standing outside beside the driver door look at the bottom of the windshield or on the edge of the drivers door.

Call the dealer; you'll have to supply proof that it is really your car. The VIN number is probably necessary.

you can go to the pontiac dealership, or you can call a lock smith and have him re-key the car, neither is all that cheap. the lock smith will be about 50.00-75.00 dollars.
