Don't get rid of all of your friends. Friends are an important part of growing up. However, put school before your friends always.

School is way more important.

Ask your grandfather

When he was young, did he have any friends?
Did he do well in school?

Friends will always be important, but in life to support ur self you need a good education. You can still have friends and do well in school.

In fact, not seeing your fiends will make you really stressed out, then you will do bad in school cause of all the stress.

You just need to do you. If you feel that you can do better while keeping all your friends, then work on that. It's not right to ask you to lose all your friends to do better in school. Just use your heart and honestly concentrate on school. Education is gonna outlast most of your friendships anyways.

What you learn in school will be used for the rest of your life.
Most of the time your friends will not last that long.
Get you education and worry about the friends after you get your school worked out.
Good Luck

what he really wants you to do is focus on your school work. he knows....like most adults that friends come and go but you hold your life and future in your hands and by giving yourself the best education for your best possible future is what you and every student deserves. dont you think you deserve the very best? of course you do, so why are you not taking your education seriously and trying to be the best you can be? who knows, these "friends" of yours may jump on in with you and you can all be great students and future millionaires if thats what you want to do/be. if all you can see in your future is hanging out with friends and not visualizing a career then you are selling yourself short. check out this website, it may help you with perspective because most teenagers never see their future, they are too busy thinking about other things that seem to matter to them now because the future is too far off...........but.............its not. the future is tomorrow. the website is www.thesecret.tv
good luck and try to be a positive person who passes on positive ideas to other people.
