Well, neither of them wants people to be free. They both believe in government wedded to religion and not allowing the people to do anything they don't want people to do.
Maybe it's kinda like when Hitler and Stalin were allies. For a while.
Two nasty entities.
I'd say both Iran and Al-Qaeda are viciously murdering people in Iraq to prevent the US from freeing the Iraqi people.

no, it s an invention of the Republican administration ! there is no evidence of that ! the only thing is that Iran supports the Shiites because Iran is in majority a Shia country. It is normal for religious states to support the same faith abroad. But never forget that the Iranians are Persans not Arabs and they never ever got along well with their Arab neighbours in history... The ambition of the Persans has always been to dominate the Middle East region : they did it at some stage of their history and they want to be the major political power again. In my humble opinion, they will and we would be better off to be their friends because we need them. Arabs are incompetent idiots and the day when they do not have oil anymore, they are finished.... It is why Iran want the nuclear energy because they are smarter and know that the revenus from oil will not last for ever...Bush is an idiot who understands nothing at politics.

They could find Saddam how couldn't they find Al-Q... I think they don't want to so they can kill people in shadows of finding Al-Q..
