I often here white people say things like "Black people commit more crime," or "Black people are poor" "black people hate white"
none of these things are even remotely true.
The average black person is a law abiding middle class citizen who's kids go to school with white people.
I am surprised that so many white folks hold these misconceptions (even those who claim not to be racists).
I say we start up a boot camp and beat it out of them ... jk.

sctcndn - I dont see anything worng with either of those ansers. The first was sarcasm (something you obviously have yet to master)
and the second was actually agreeing with the poster who said that most white people are NOT ancestors of slave owners. Sounds like you need some boot camp, indeed.

There is a boot camp for whites already....it's called "a college education."
AND...I think that parents are to blame on this one too! I was taught to be tolerant and accepting of "ALL" of my peers unless my life was in danger.
I ALSO think you are generalizing a bit here. Not all whites have issues with blacks...America sucks!!!

Typical ******, distort the facts, & lie. White people say: "Black people commit more crime". It's true, you are very aware of it. But we can't admit the truth about something like this can we? NO! It may show us for what we are.
The average black is a ghetto dweller, with 3-7 kids who dont know who thier other parent is. You need some schoolin' boy, hard schoolin', I'd say somewhere between 50 & life should be adequate to combat the gorilla within.

As I sometimes do, I read some of these answers first...before answering! I find it incredibly sad that this country is so "race" divided. First, I'd like to suggest that it depends on what state you live in, what the quota of inmates in a prison would be! Stop and think about it,not all of you live in the same state,so of course the inmate populations would be different in race and nationalities! Ever since that pathetic OJ case, and how the "Race Card" let a GUILTY person walk out of prison a Free "Animal"...I have lost faith in people. No one should get away with butchering two innocent people no matter what color they are. The older I get, the more reclusive I get!! why can't people just live and let live? ( NOT just here, but all over the world!)
I'd like to add, that I am not making "color" an issue in this message, although I brought up that disgusting OJ case! The point I was trying to make is how far "people" in general will go to set an animal free for butchering!! And that book he wrote..."IF' I killed........" hows that for a slap in the face? One of the reasons I've become reclusive is because of things like this happening in this world... jg

Let me first start off by informing you that I am white and my brother-in-law is black and I think hes a great guy......I think that there are ALL kinds of people in this world that commit crimes and are poor. I am a little tired though of black people always thinking that all white people are against them. Well thats not remotely true. I think that EVERYONE needs to get over this color barrier and start seeing people for who they really are and judge them by their actions and not their skin color.
PS: Again I am white but a little proof to those who might think i'm racist (cause I am NOT)...people need to start paying more attention to those kids that are going to school shooting everyone and to those kids that are taking over the counter medicines to get high. Alot or maybe even all of them are WHITE!!!!

I just had to add something elsse on this topic....has anyone else out there notice this....alot of the times that you here about a shooting or robery that has to do with a black person most of the time it either had to do with drugs or gangs and they are basically just fighting to survive and then you hear about these white people going on killing sprees and raping young kids and most of the time they are doing this because they are either very crazy or just bored. They are not doing it to survive but doing it just because. I am just so tired of hearing sh** about peoples color. Can we just get pass it and realize that everyone NO MATTER the color are not all perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, not all white people think like that only crazy hill billies who are just jealous because they don't have any teeth. Honestly, a big misconception is that Black's are responsible for most of the crime.. but Honestly, when was the last time you saw a black man on the news who was a serial killer? I personally never have. They've all been middle class white men. Anyways, I believe that skin color is a recognition of one's culture and family, not social status. I don't think we need a separate boot camp for white people. That's just silly! :)

Ha ha ha ha! If that would work I'd say "Have at it!" (and I'm white) but unfortunately it wouldn't work. I blame much of it on the media. They are always reporting crimes but the emphasis is 9 times out of 10 on blacks (or Mexicans, or whatever other so-called minority is the current whipping boyt). They take great pleasure in perpetuating these stupid misconceptions. However that being said, blacks have got to change their heads! Soooo many young blacks are thoroughly convinced they won't live long so they live at 90 mph which includes getting in all kinds of trouble. blacks have to help blacks change their mind set and believe that they can live a long, happy and productive life and have a family and a career and everything they always wanted. Until that mind set is changed we're all stuck.
As far as the disproportionate number of blacks in prison I firmly believe that minorities get much harsher sentences than whites and that's a large part of it. I'd be willing to bet money that thousands of blacks in prison aren't even guilty. The so called "legal" system just needs to get convictions and they only add up the numbers so they can appear to be successful.

I agree, the majority of white people in the US are descendants of immigrants. I have been saying that for years. that black Americans have been here the longest. because white people were a minority in the early US, so only a smal percentage of white people are descend from the original americans and only a small percentage of them even owned slaves.
You should be the one to go to Boot camp!!!!!!
So don't give me your Black pride BS...

It's funny how they sit and "quote" facts about prisons and other inaccurate facts about blacks when majority of them have never stepped foot in a prison, or even sat down and had a converstaion with one of us. Yet they wanna say go fix the problems in your community when they know nothing about us as a people. Only "facts" they have are the ones they get from watching the t.v.

Dont judge the white race as a whole just because of a few peoples misakes. not all white people are racist. im white and im not rasict. im also part indian but you dont see me complaing or whatnot about white people cause of the way they treated me ancestors...... yes there are racist people in this world but please dont call all white people rasict thats just not nice.

None of us need a boot camp, none of us need to be enslaved to see what the oppression was like, and none of us need to be criticized for our opposing viewpoints, if they are indeed informed. An eye for an eye will only continue the vicious cycle of abuse.
