In the case of Hannity & Limbaugh it makes some sense as they are both college dropuouts. Their bitterness is painfully obvious and transparent.

But what of the right-wingers here? Do you hate professors because they have rights of free speech and the right to study and conduct inquiry into whatever question(s) they see fit?

Is it that you hate them for their freedom?

The "right" does not hate collage professors. The "right" hates people in a position of power that abuse that power to spread lies and propaganda.

Not all collage professors are liberal wackos, but many are. People are free to be liberal wackos, but they shouldn't use their position as a professor to indoctrinate students into their craziness. A professor should teach facts, not opinions.

I have my college degree and was happy with the experience. Out of the hundreds of professors that taught me, only 1 or 2 strayed from the course material and into their personal opinions. It is only those few exceptions that should be removed from their positions.

They're hated because they use their position of power to push their PERSONNEL VIEWS on young impressionable minds as facts. They're hated because they're just another tool in the Liberal's machine to brainwash our nation’s children. I mean seriously, do me a favor, drop all of your biases for a moment and consider this very real point...

If the liberals control the media and the education system, how easy is it for them to control what people learn and think? Pretty easy right? That's what is taking place. Why do you think so many liberals hate Fox News so much?

In the 60s and 70s it was the "in thing" to be a liberal in college because the faculty was honestly a more balanced mix of liberal and conservative professors, though the majority leaned slightly to the right. They were rebelling against the majority... Nowadays, however, the vast majority of teachers in public schools, colleges and universities are all liberal. So what is the youth of today rebelling against? Instead of being "individuals" and "free thinkers" like the liberals of the 60s and 70s were trying to be, the youth of today are falling right in line with what the left wants them to think.

This starts with teachers in middle and high school, is cemented by professors in college and then reaffirmed by the liberal ran media.

The left is on a campaign to brainwash our youth, and the sad thing about it is that it's working.

Let see a college proffesor tells his students that there are no Muslim terrorist it is all done by the CIA.

How about saying they like the NYC without the WTC.

Or another who rips off artwork claims it is own, thinks those who die in the WTC deserve it, & claims to be a Native America and isn't.

Yes we do have freedom of speech and guess what it is for everybody. They are free to express their views just like you are right now.

You have a physic professor claiming the WTC were brought down by explosives and the eng. dept at his univerisity doesn't even sign off in argreement with him.

Demolation experts say it wasn't a control explosion.

How about the wonderful college campuses that shout down conservative voices and interpute their speeches. Isn't that wrong too.

I guess you want it all your way only your voices to be heard and no one should disagree if they do they don't belong in society.

Or maybe they should be fired if they don't agree with global warming because you say so.

If Hannity and Limbaugh bother you that much there are to adjustments on your radio that work.

You are too general in your question. Being somewhat th the right of Newt I have no hatres for college profs in general. What I do object to are those profs that oppine a point of view that has little basis in fact and is idiological in nature (think George Bush brought down the trade towers) These profs have a captive audiance and hold the future of these kids in thier hands through grades given in thier classes. This isn't a free speech issue, everyone is intitled to thier own oppinion, but no one is intitled to thier own set of facts. Speculation possing as fact is not free speech, but slander. What conservitive like myself object to is the political orthodoxy of leftest (think Duke rape case and how many prods assigned guilt to the accused and to this day either stand by that lie or pretend they never suggested it all because it would expose them as having a view of America that is immposible to back up with facts). If you think Hannity And Limbaugh are bitter you share the same delutions as the PC profs that seek to indoctinate our youth, don't think so, ask yourself this question would you trade paychecks with them or do you really belive thier dropout status has hurt them in thier lives

I don't know if I'm right, left or in the middle........I just expect anyone dealing with young minds to deal with facts.

The use of the word "hate" and right wingers etc. is rather a blanket and extreem statement for just expressing an opinion that's different than your own. Seems too many feel "right to freedom" is only acceptable for their view.

I loved my college professors. I went to a liberal college. They gave their opinion based with FACTS and also presented the other side and then challenged us to do our own research and come up with our own opinion.

I passed all my classes with A's because I could disagree with the professor on intellegent information and they loved a good debate. There was a couple of times I thought for sure I would fail the classes because we butted heads on everything. Funny thing is I passed great and his stance wasn't his personal belief.....he just took it in order to test us and our ability to think for ourselves and not be swayed by smooth talking people or be caught up with one side without giving equal effort to understanding the other.

We don't, that's a typical untruthful liberal fictitious strawman charge against the right.

The truth, anathema to liberals, is that we do not like professors who politicize their classrooms, who use the captive audience to spew political propaganda instead of actually teaching.

They do not have the right to do this. In many cases they have punished students for having non-liberal opinions. Is that right, to flunk a student because he doesn't drink the leftist Kool-Aid? Why do you advocate that?

The problem we have is when professors introduce controversial topics not germane to their subject, and when professors grade students based on political philosophy rather than academic achievement. We also have a problem when professors are denied tenure due to political beliefs regardless of academic achievement, or when professors are elevated to tenure without academic achievement because of political beliefs.

Considering that conservatives and Republicans have been the subject of oppression in academia, it is only right we bring this travesty of justice to light.

It's because they confuse professors who question authority and question power and those who make decisions with being just liberal notions. The right hates them for bringing new and different ideas into the classroom that stand against the status quo.

wmcritter If the "right" hates people in a position of power that abuse that power to spread lies and propaganda, why don't they question Bush and 'hate' him? My god, he's been in power for 6 years and has done nothing but lie and use propaganda.
And, I'm sorry, but I've had conservative profs who have voiced their support for the prez and his policies, should they be removed for spouting their opinions in classrooms that have nothing to do with politics? NO, college is supposed to be where you get all kinds of viewpoints in the class room and politics effects every person and every subject matter. No professor should be censored from voicing and opinion or questioning the powers that be no matter what they teach. Censorship is not the role of the college or the administrator of that college. College is about the free flow of ideas. If you don't like what the teacher is saying, then submit your opinion to the conversation but be prepared to back it up with facts and sources and ask the prof to do the same. Debate the teacher. That's the point of college, not censorship.

Actually, I like my professors. They are easy to work with and they teach better than I expected. I think us right-wingers like freedom of speech, but look down upon speech that contains stupidity or bigotry, but people can say stupid stuff never-the-less. We also love freedom, which is why we fight against totalitarianism (spelling?). The liberals seems to be hindering the fight against terrorism, which likes to restrict the basic freedoms. So, who truly hates freedom? May them, maybe no one. Maybe we should all work together for once. However, that wouldnt look to good for half of the Dems, who are running for Pres in 08.

I had a ton of college professors that were liberals. No many of them made comments about the president or political issues but the ones that did really offended me. Profs are there to teach not try to sway my political beliefs.
