I'm goin with my brother before he gets married. He's not into goin' to strip bars nor are we doing a bachelor party. He wants to do some snowboarding, maybe some biking. Bars, bars. NO dance clubs. LAME!! Lounges, pubs are cool. Thoughts?

You definitely need to be at South Shore. The lift up to Heavenly is there on the strip now, so you can stay at any hotel, and easily be on the slopes in just a few minutes!! And once you're there, you're essentially surrounded by bars! Sit down at the poker machine, and just wait for the nice lady to come by offering free cocktails!!

Biking might be tricky, considering the snow...You might try heading over the mountain into the Carson Valley. Tahoe to Carson City is probably 30 minutes over hwy. 50, or you can go over hwy. 89 closer to Kirkwood, if the roads are clear). The mountains scrape all of the moisture out of the air before it can rain or snow on the other side. There are lots of bikable roads & trails on the desert side of the mountains.

My favorite bar on the desert side of the mountains is in a tiny little town called Genoa. Genoa was the first settlement in Nevada, and the bar there is "The Oldest Thirst Parlor in Nevada". If you bring an undergarment to deposit in their safe, you can have the opportunity to look at all of the other undergarments that are there, one of which used to belong to Ann Margaret! Pretty exciting, I know! It would be a fun stop on a bike ride on that side of the mountains...If you go there, don't forget to stop at the bakery in Genoa. They do great work, and offer sandwiches at lunch time.
