I know that Smith (apparently) committed suicide yesterday- most likely from drug overdose. I know, I am making a lot of assumptions that may not be permissive here.
But ironically (perhaps not coincidentally), Rosie is said to have made negative remarks about Anna Nicole, only a few hours before the time of death. Is there a link there? God forbid, could Anna Nicole have been watching the show, and the negative judgments of Rosie been the impetus for her to kill herself?
Well, I know that we have freedom of speech, and I disagree if people think that this freedom should be curtailed. And what Rosie did was not criminal, and her intention was not to cause Smith to commit suicide (again, an assumption).
I don't know what Rosie said, but I was told that she said that she was sick of seeing Smith on the television, that Smith could not speak properly, etc.
What is your opinion? Should 'The View' sack Rosie?

Rosie has some serious emotional problems. She seems to attack everyone. Another issue she had was with Donald Trump. The issue was concerning Miss America. Instead of discussing Miss America and those problems, she chose to put Mr. Trump's business out in the public. In my opinion, I feel she needs to keep the nasty comments to herself. She is using the View as a way to be nasty and controlling. I no longer watch the View because I don't care for Rosie. I wish the View producers would rethink Rosie being on the View.

Absolutely not. Rosie had NOTHING to do with Anna Nicole's death. Howard K. Stern may not have pulled the trigger, but he gave Anna the gun and then sat by while she used it. Rosie's comments were valid AT THE TIME. The media coverage of Anna Nicole was ridiculous before her death and Rosie was simply stating a widely agreed upon opinion. The timing is bad but the real people responsible for Anna's death are Howard K. Stern, the "yes men" surrounding her, and Anna herself.

No the view would be smart to keep rosie...rosie does have a big mouth and the show is based on different opinions and views. The more rosie gets into trouble the more the news and people will talk...and the more people will watch the view.
They always say...any publicity is good publicity even the bad puclicity.
Its all about money in the end.

I am a little late at answering this question but anyway, Rosie:BIG THINGS GOING ON IN THE NEWS. IF I HAVE TO SEE ANNA NICOLE SMITH ONE MORE TIME ON TELEVISION. THAT WOMAN AND HER PATERNITY TEST. .. AND SHE CAN HARDLY EVEN SPEAK NOW. SHE CAN’T EVEN SPEAK. SHE’S LIKE YOU KNOW IT’S A TRAGEDY ALL AROUND. ..HER SON DIED. SHE HAS THIS LITTLE BABY. THERE’S OBVIOUSLY SOME KIND OF MEDICATION OR SUBSTANCE INVOLVED. I DON’T KNOW.
ELISABETH HASSELBECK: THAT’S AN ODD SITUATION.
KRISTIN CHENOWETH: OR NOT INVOLVED
Rosie:OR NOT INVOLVED, EVEN WORSE. BUT IT’S SORT OF LIKE DISTRACTING. THE ART OF DISTRACTION. THEY DON’T WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE REAL.
Yes that was pretty much it, I do not beleive she said anything out of the way it was more concern than bad mouthing her..ANS has had much worse comments made about her . Rosie is a comedian and she says one off the wall statement to "the trumpster" and all media goes WHACK..We take the media for there word and continue to make assumptions. If you ask me the media killed ANS. Rosie can stay at the view as far as I am concerned.

Everyone is making a big deal about anna nicole smith's death - why? She was not a humanitarian or anything - she was an overindulgent woman made out of alot of plastic. The most unfortunate part is that she has a young daughter, which i feel for, but as far as i am concerned anna nicole smith is just another person who died. And I do not blame rosie o'donnell, its not like she is the only one to have ever made a comment about smith.

Give me a break!!! I started watching The View when Rosie joined. It AMAZES me how out of context her words are reported. Her comment had NOTHING to do with Anna Nicole. She was referring to the media and how they are consumed with celebrity when there are BIGGER ISSUES going on.....like a war. Joy and Elizabeth say way more inflammatory and negative stuff but you never hear about that. Also the Donald Trump comments were egged on by Elizabeth but that part is edited out. Go to youtube and watch it yourself.
P.S let's not all pretend that we weren't thinking there is something tragically wrong with the whole ANS situation. it is very sad indeed that her life ended this way.

Rosie should always say whatever she wants.
I believe in free speech ! I love freedom at all times !
I HATE POLITICAL CORRECTNESS !
I dislike sweet little liberal ROSIE !
I happen to like Anna Nicole Smith cause she came from poor folk and made herself a celebrity.
Anna's movie will be coming out soon and I'm looking forward to see it cause she had a great sense of humor that I find amusing !

If Rosie is to get in trouble for comments that she made, about another person, then why are not all the bullies at schools etc.. that are said to contribute to some people hurting or killing themselves, not punished more forcefully? People say hurtful and mean things, that is part of a human. We think and act like we sometimes should not. I only hope those who are being picked on can get past anothers stupid words of them!

Rosie O' Donnel is an attention whore, and The View is guaranteed ratings if they keep her on...Having said that..any comments she made are hers to make. I doubt very much she can be blamed if Anna Nicole Smith did commit suicide based on anything she said..

No Rosie should not be fired or anything Else
I saw what she said. Bad timing, but was she wrong
I do not think Anna committed suicide, I think Anna lawyer/boyfriend?Husband?/baby father?, killed her
I thought Anna was in a bad place, Rosie was not the only person who thought that
Do you think it odd, a couple of hours after a judge said the baby need an DNA test, she dies
I would not be surprise if Anna died like her son.
It's very sad, but not Rosie fault
