There's a theory that life is movement or a process, energy in transit, never static; from the sub-atomic particles upwards. So I have a hunch that you are naturally and instictively a prime mover not a slug-bottom (censored lol). To suppress that natural outflow of energy must require some kind of bad mental health, and as lots say here, that leads to poor physical health.

So, it's TV, Internet, Answers, fast-food, before you can say, 'Yarrrggghhhhh!!!!', and go lie down...

Without working towards goals and aspirations, the subject approaches a vegetative state wherein there are no highs and lows of emotion, just a flat-line deathly cold of the grave. Emotions are dulled, even physical feelings like pleasure, pain, taste and desire. Eventually this causes one to fixate on the state of rest, a dire attachment growing to the static realm of inaction and familiarity. Over time even the slightest changes in procedure and environment become horrific experiences of dread for the individual, so locked in theor box of consistancy that change begets chaos. The subject then transforms their fear of change to hatred of that which causes it, boiling into a frenzy of morbid homocidal rage to any who would dare upset their state of rest, or suicidal depression in the despair at having left behind what once was familiar.

This is the ultimate goal of Zen Buddhism.

"like family problems" - a family is a team that must accomplish certain necessary objectives - in that context, others on the "team" will probably harbor and maybe express resentment toward the one who exercises "idleness" in direct ways or demeaning ways because they may have developed a belief that that person is not carrying his/her weight.

"health problems" - see Sara G.'s answer - and their corollary - lack of continued development of health, vitality, freshness, and the mental predicate to be a person uplifting to others around them.

"so on" - the idle person, almost by definition, misses out on the infinite expressions of individuality, and we travel this road but once. And this road is finite, very finite.

Oh, each and every form of problems. In China, they cut back down and paved lots of the land surrounding the Yangtze (i think of it replaced into that one, consistent with probability the Yellow) River, it flood badly now. without the wild advance, many places are looking they have much less flood administration throughout the time of the wet seasons/snow soften. Landslides and all that. It cuts down on the wild places for the undomesticated animals to stay in so which you have coyotes and cougars and polar bears and each little thing else that used to stay removed from human habitats now entering densely populated factors in seek of nutrition and that they are taking pets in place of their organic nutrition components. Plus there is the grotesque element--without lots of trees and wild places, issues are merely too grotesque, whether there are "eco-friendly" swathes. there is merely something reassuring understanding there are large tracts that are nevertheless evidently wild and undeveloped, nevertheless functioning as they are meant to. As lots of a city individual as i'm, i do no longer choose each and all the wild places to bypass away, i choose lots extra wild places then paved places, i choose to be attentive to there are bears and alligators and creatures residing obtainable interior the wild places the way they are meant to.

The major one is depression. Not doing anything gives you no purpose in life and your self esteem really suffers from it. You could become overweight, become a burden to family members, and worst of all become a habit to continue on for the rest of life.
