Give her a day at a spa. Whatever you can afford is greatly appreciated. Whether it's a manicure or a massage, she'll feel very girly afterwards. This is by far the best gift that my girlfriends and I would love to have from our husbands.

First of all CONGRATS!!!!!!!!
The BEST thing you can do for your wife (if you are short on $$$, which is often the case with a newborn!!!) is offer to stay up with the baby the entire night before Valentine's Day. Do all the baby stuff: bathing, changing diapers, etc. Even if it kills you to change the diapers, now is the time dad!!!
Do all of the "little things" for her: clean the house, do laundry, wash dishes, cook dinner. A woman has to spend weeks recovering from the actual birth, let alone all the sleepless nights with the new baby. It is very hard to keep up with even getting in the shower every day! Offer to do EVERYTHING possible for her and tell her she is to do NOTHING. (And don't just do this on Valentine's Day either!) Flowers are always nice but actually doing things for your wife will be the most appreciated gift!

consistent with probability you may start up thinking approximately getting a babysitter on a often used foundation - as quickly as-a-week or regardless of fits a while table maximum suitable so as that that is not any longer the variety of traumatic adventure for the newborn (& mom...) to be removed from one yet another like that as quickly as you do choose to bypass out. trust the different posters that a extraordinary, romantic dinner at residing house this Valentine's Day could be great additionally. good luck!

Have a picnic on the livingroom floor while listening to soft jazz and the sound of your baby cooing. Tell her that of all the places in the world you couldn't imagine a better place to be than in your home with her and your precious child all of which you love more than words can express...unless of course she's sick of being couped up in the house and is able to go out . Then you'd better take her to her favorite place.

Me and my lady recently had our first child too ( Jan 21st ) and alot of these are very helpful suggestions(good stuff)...I will be trying either the birth stone ring, or the framed pictures..but also a handmade card works wonders...the more glue and sparkles, the better!

Well don't go by her lingerie or she will probably kill ya, lol....just kidding. How about a nice candlelit dinner. After you have put the baby to sleep of course. Maybe a nice little necklace or a bracelet and some flowers to go along with it. Congratulations on your new little bundle of joy.

Have a bracelet made from Tiny Blessings (.com). It comes with pearls, silver and the baby's name. If there is not time for that then go traditional with flowers and candy.
