why do men kill their kids?

Question

I read an article about some man letting his toddler daughter freeze to death because she wouldn’t go to bed. Are men just selfish or stupid? Where are the mom's? The government should do an eye for an eye. If people think this is inhumane then killing your offspring is considered acceptable? Why do they get to sit in jail with cable TV and eat 3 meals a day?

I said men. I know women kill too

Moms do stupid, selfish things, too. It's not gender specific. Remember the lady who cut off her baby's arms? Or the one who threw all three of her kids off the Golden Gate Bridge?

More than likely, the mom in this case was sitting in the living room, drinking a beer and watching the game...Any woman who'd have a kid with a man like that CAN'T possibly be a normal human.

Why does any human kill any other human? It's not acceptable, not matter what the relationship is between the two.

sad generalization...the ratio is likely about equal men/women. However interestingly enough, most of the most horrendous cases that i've heard of were committed by women (strangulation with a thong...think panties, not flip flop...severing arms and letting child bleed to death, sending car over the wharf to let them drown...and then getting authorities involved to search for said children, taking a child by the feet and swinging them like a bat at the husband...the list goes on...)

i saw that on the news today. i'd like to hang the s.o.b. by his b.a.l.l.z! he does not represent us men. i love kids and i'm not alone. men are perfectly capable of nurturing children and lots of us are quite happy to do it. i think your idea about eye for an eye is waaaay too nice for this creep. freezing to death is not one of the worst ways to die. he should die but it should be slow and painful. this was an innocent child and could never have done anything to deserve this. when i heard about this i had to go and give my kids hugs and thank God for blessing me with them. real men don't kill their kids. this guy is a monster.

just had to add this: i looked it up and pennsylvania does have the death penalty but they don't actually carry it out very often. hopefully, they'll make an exception in this case. he sure deserves it, IMHO.

dont you think women are capable of the same thing? esp during post partum depression. i would say mothers are way crazier than fathers. Each case is different, and its not right to generalize. In any case its a horrible situation. some people aren't suited for kids but everyone seems to have them anyways.

Did you know that women are responsible for over 50% of child abuse in the US? So, why single out men? Do you feel the same treatment should apply to women who kill their children?

That's an incredibly sexist generalization you've made based upon one case. Yeah, that ONE guy did something terrible, but I can't believe you're accusing ALL men of being selfish or stupid because of it.

IT HAPPENS WITH BOTH MEN AND WOMEN , THERE WAS A WOMAN WENT INTO A HARDWARE STORE BOUGHT A GUN AND KILLED HER TWO KIDS THEN KILLED HER SELF , SAME THING HAPPENED A WEEK AGO WITH A FATHER AND HIS TWO KIDS..IT IS A MENTAL ILLNESS THAT IS CAUSING IT ALSO IT'S RELATED TO CUSTODY CASES AND / OR SPOUSAL ABUSE!

The answer: I reall don't know how human beings can kill their kids.
Any parent either killing or sexually abusing their child - well, I wouldn't stop to think about being "humane" in their punishment.
