If you prefer a suit then thats fine but they do have casual menswear with the nice shirt and matching pants or you can wear a nice collar shirt really doesn't matter the color just as long as your tie goes with it and some nice dress pants.

I went to a wedding a few months ago and the guys were all dressed differently. Some were in suits with ties, some were in dress shirts with ties, some were in dress shirts with no tie, and some were actually in jeans. I don't think there's any set rule to this. I would suggest a dress shirt, tie, slacks. If you have a suit or sports coat, wear it, but don't go out and buy a new suit. I like blue dress shirts. I'd say a blue dress shirt, black pants, and a silk tie with geometric graphics on it.

It really depends on the style of the wedding. Some weddings are formal, other laid back. Some suggestions are : formal - dress pants, dress shoes, dress belt, all black shirt - any colour but a dress shirt and tie with jacket
semi formal - same as above but can lose the jacket and be more playful with colour of shirt and tie
casual - dress pants or khakis and a nice shirt with or without tie shoes nice, but don't have to formal or black, brown could work too
Hope this helps

Just wear a black suit with a white shirt, and pick a tie of your choice to go with it. You can never go wrong with these colors for any occasion. You'll look just fine, and have a good time at the wedding!
