Okay I know that being sick during pregnancy is normal. Most women have it. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I currently spend my days either curled up trying to get the nausea to subside or spend much of my time over the toilet. Also, I have been battling with my sinuses for the past two weeks and now that seems to add to the need to get sick. I also have been have trouble being able to walk around a store without feeling dizzy and making a quick trip to the bathroom to get sick. MY QUESTION is Has this happened to anyone else and do you have any ideas as to what I can do to maybe help with any or all of this?
Thanks for all your answers!

You described my first pregnancy... I feel for you, I know how awful it can be. First off, the sinuses deal, that's totally normal! A lot of women experience issues with their sinuses in the beginning, I recall reading an article about such but I do not recall the explanation well enough to quote it.

Second, the nausea and vomiting. Nausea is caused often times from hunger or an empty stomach. Trick is to not allow yourself to reach this point. But getting there at first can be a battle. Start off with a diet that they give to those with the stomach flu, and that is clear liquids and breads. Eat small portions often, often is the key. During my pregnancy I kept crackers on my bedside table, and before I even got out of bed I forced myself to eat two or three of them, and it really helped!!! Dehydration can cause you to feel both dizzy and nauseated (as you complained of), so it is very important that you double up on the water intake. If you throw it up, just wait a second and drink some more. The only way you will get a hold of this is by aggressively trying to conquer the causes of it all.

Best of luck to you, I hope you feel better soon and you can look forward to most of this subsiding by week 11.

I had really bad morning (all day) sickness up until week 10 (I'm 18 weeks now). People will suggest all sorts of things for you from eating crackers to drinking ginger ale. Truth is, none of those things worked for me. I bought some Pregnancy Tea from the grocery store and just tried to get through it. You're in the toughest part of the first trimester right now. Trust that things will get better. It's the hormones that are messing with you. Just try to eat healthy (it was hard for me, I just wanted chips) and take your prenatel. Better days are coming. Congrats, by the way.

I was severly sick and dizzy and couldn't keep anything down. I ended up in the hospital twice. Don't wait too long til you are super dehydrated its not safe for the baby. you might need some meds. thats how I cope. good luck and congrats!!

Yes, it happened to me. Not sure how to avoid it aside from laying on the couch all day miserable. I was in college at the time and had a hard time not running out of class to get sick. It's miserable. I spent most of my time on the couch.

You can ease your nausea with the help of No to morning sickness tea. It was a great help with my nausea that was horrible and no cramping.
