You should get a 19" because they are very close in price to the 17". go to Newegg.com. They have the best deals and the best brand names. I would suggest Viewsonic or Samsung. If you are watching video you want at least 8ms or less response, and the contrast is the most important for image quality. Contrast should be at least 700/1 ratio.
