There is no age limit for the tests, but some colleges and universities may not require you to do so. Many schools have a continuing education/non-traditional student (those who don't enter college immediately after high school) department, and the admission requirements are different. Contact the school(s) you are interested in going to before you take the test.

The test isn't cheap, and it basically takes most of a day. If you do take it, I would suggest spending the $20 on a practice test book, available at any major bookstore and many libraries, first.

You can take it but it is not needed. Anyone applying to college older then age 24 is exempt from SAT scores.

I work as a student advisor for University Prep Center. We assist in Private and Public Scholarships, College Advising, SAT/ACT Test Review.

Boost your SAT Score 200-500+ Points!!!
Boost your ACT Score 4-6+ Points!!!

Please feel free to email, check our My Space, or call me anytime with any College related questions as I am here to assist you... =)

Most colleges don't care if you have taken the SAT or ACT if you are a non-traditional student. They will request information from employeers and probably your highschool transcripts, but not test scores. Most people seem to forget everything by the time they are out of school a few years anyway :) Good luck!!!

It wouldn't make much sense, but there's nothing stopping you from taking them. Colleges will not usually request SAT scores from "non-traditional" students. If you want to start college at this point, they'll probably ask you to go to a community college for the first 2 years and then transfer. But that's just from what I know from public universities in Florida and California, so take it with a grain of salt.
