If the plastic pull lever inside is broken, there should be a metal wire that attaches to it. You might have to break the rest of the lever off, or take it off, whichever-way. Find the cable and with a pair of pliers pull on it. This should open it up.
Good Luck

You can go through the front grill with a long screw driver and release the latch manually. Other wise if this is not permissable the take off the inside driver's kickpad. (Side panel) and use a pair of pliers to pull the calble that is attached to the broken handle. This panel has no screws it pops off but is a little difficult.

I have had that happen to me a couple of times. maybe you can remove part of the front grill and see the mechanism , latch, holding the hood down. you could use pliers to pull the cable, use vise grips. Or use a screwdriver to py the latch open. it all depends on your car and how it is all put together.

This happened to me on my old chevy once. If you find where the latch was, there should be some tinsel or wires there that release the latch. You can try to get a pair of plyers and pull the wires to release the latch or try to cut some of the tube (if app) and see if you can rig up your own latching system with the avaible free wire there.

well if its just the handle broken you can take a pair of pliers and pull on the cable inside the car
but if its the cable itself broken that can cause a lot more pain
depending on the type of car you may be able to lay under the front of the car and move the linkage manually with a screwdriver or such, or be able to go thru the grill

It will probably still have a cable exposed that the latch was attached to, and you should be able to grip it with a plier and pull to release the hood.
