Get a job and pay for the babysittter and the vacation yourself.

30 grand is not enough to feed a family of 6, leave alone to go on vacation.

Be realistic and considerate. The man cannot do everything on his own. You sit there at home and complaint about your dreams of a vacations... what about getting off the couch and help your poor man that is working 19 hours a day... you have to be kidding.

PS/ It seems that you never got a vacation in 17 years because you never got a job in 17 years. Besides, who needs a vacation from watching Oprah? If anyone is your poor huisband who needs a break.

Obviously you must be satisfied with the situation after putting up with it for 17 years. However, with 5 children in the 17 years one of them is probably old enough to watch the other while you and hubby go on a picnic or just have a day alone together.

Nobody works 7 am until midnight every night. I don't believe it.

Even if he did, that would mean he worked 17 hours a day, 5 days a week. 40 is regular, 45 is 1.5x minimum wage @$5.25.

At minimum wage, he'd make 30 grand a year.

If your husband REALLY works 85 hours a week he must be taking some crazy drugs to get through.

I can't believe he found the energy to get you pregnant 5 times.

You made a dedication now to not have any better little ones once you had your tubes tied. Does dedication mean not something to you? do not have any better little ones extremely when you're suffering to grant for the little ones you've already got or are in hardship-free words doing it for the sake of your boyfriend/husband or in spite of. it truly is not a stunning good reason to have a baby. bear in ideas, a baby isn't basically a replica of you and your major different, neither is it purely an expression of love. a baby is a man or woman who advantages now to not be born if both figure is uncertain or romanticizes the perception of reproducing.

tell him it's time for the both of you to have a vacation. You have to understand that he may feel as the man of the house it's important for him to bring home the finances, and as long as he brings home the money, and all of the bills are paid, plus you have a roof over your head, you shouldn't have no complaints (that's the way most husbands think). But it is also important for the husband to show the wife the affection that is due to her. Tell him that the both of you need to have a serious talk and plan a vacation together.

Depends on the age of your kids I suppose. All I can say is if the man is doing what he has to do in order for you all to eat and have a roof over your head , then love him and give him credit. We all make choices in life , having a large family must have been yours,, or partly yours. With every choice comes the gifts and the sacrafice of that choice. We all have to live with the choices made.

I am a child of 5, the baby. My mother worked when we were old enough to be in school even part time, will help. Of course you are discouraged, but be proud of yourself AND your husband. Do you go to a church where they could help, parents night out or something? One of the kids should be old enough to watch one or two of the children. Good luck, good job.
