From a cultural standpoint:
With the practice of killing girl babies to ensure having sons being common there, it is not surprising that they might have a surfeit of males. If you increase the number of males, you'll have a concomitant increase in homosexual males based on the genetic percentage that occur in a given population of Homo sapiens.
China experienced a similar phenomenon because of the limit of 2 children per couple - men were dominant and girl babies were killed to ensure sons. Generations of young males grew up with a relatively small pool of mates and they had an explosion of facultative gay relationships and a lot of lonely, angry young heterosexual men.
In a country (India) that suffers from very high patriarchal domination and overpopulation, perhaps it is a good thing.

There is nothing that makes homosexuality increase. What is changing is that it's less of a taboo than it was and more people are being more open about it.
It's not homosexuality that is unhealthy. It's promiscuous behavior (and not all gays are) that puts people at risk for STDs. Straight people who are promiscuous get those diseases too.
BTW, homosexuality describes an attraction to members of the same gender, whether there is any sex or not.

it isnt on the rise, just more open
& it isnt unhealthy, xcept some pepl think dat just cuz they themselvs r not like dat other pepl also have no right 2 b like dat .

Not an issue. Visit a terminal ward in any hospital one day. A dose of reality always makes it easy to reorient.

Yes, homosexuality is bad for two reasons:
A)Promscuity can lead to greater exposure to dieases such as AIDS
B)In Indian culture, its very frowned upon.
