talk her into getting counseling. Sometimes if you have a pastor you can go talk to him/her. They can usually help. Most of all, just make her feel special. Like she has a reason to stop hurting herself. Cutters usually don't feel the pain and it becomes a natural high. Addiction is a major concern. If she is addicted...Counseling! Oh and does she have a dad? Probably not but i'm just curious!

This is a serious problem! I would talk to your Friend and let her know how concerned you are for her. Let her know you are very scared of losing her and how much you would miss her if something were to happen to her. Let her know how sorry you are that she has had such a bad life up till know, when she found you for a Friend. Ask her if she would please seek help for herself and for a Friend that cares very deeply. Let her know you will stand by her and you will help her find the doctor, counselor, etc. that can help her. Maybe she is scared she has to go thru it alone, knowing you will be there to help, will be a comfort. I really feel for her and don't even know her, she needs to know things can and will get better as life goes on, but if she doesn't get help, she might not be here to see what good things the future has in store for her. Give her a hug for me, and convince her to get help for her depression which is leading to cutting. Your a good Friend!

If you meddle in this situation directly, you could just make things worse and destroy the relationship with this friend. You should tell a grownup that you trust to handle this. They know the right people that can help and know how to deal with the situation. They could get her some help. Sure, the friend may be upset with you, but at least she would still be living! In time, she'll see the light and would owe you a big thanks. You could've very well saved her life.

The best thing you can do to help her is to get her into counseling ASAP. Cutting is a symptom of really bad underlying issues like sexual abuse. Your friend needs intensive therapy and unless you are a qualified therapist, there is not a lot you can do. Be her friend and encourage her to get HELP!

Tell her she needs to talk to someone, because usually when someone cuts it's a cry for help she needs to get help. When you cut you really don't feel anything because when the blood flows out it's like all your problems go away for that one little second then it all goes away and your sad again.

First sit down and talk to her to find out what is happening in her life encourage her and convince herI think you should report this to someone both you and her trust, so that they will be able to get help for her. You are right to worry because it is very likely that she might go too deep the next time and bleed to death. PLEASE HURRY and get help for her befopre it is to late.

watch her, spend as much time with her as possible, ask her to tell you when she feels like cutting herself so you can be there and try and make her feel better, or get her anger out on something else. do things together when she wants to cut

If she has a really life-threatening cutting problem she needs to be admitted to a psych ward. There is nothing you can do to make her stop, she needs professional care.
